Gulf Cooperation Councilen-SASAR

Saudi Arabia.

FOB Mundra → Jeddah (Red Sea) and Dammam (Arabian Gulf). SABER conformity is the gate, not an afterthought.

The Gulf's largest single buyer economy, and the region's fastest-moving hospitality pipeline under Vision 2030 — NEOM, the Red Sea, AlUla and Diriyah are pulling room counts up across Marriott, Hilton, Accor, IHG, Hyatt, Rotana and Four Seasons. Home-textile and retail volume runs through the Landmark Group house of brands (Home Centre, Centrepoint, Home Box) and IKEA Saudi. The structural gate here is regulatory: every textile consignment clears the SABER conformity platform with Arabic labelling, so compliance and documentation precede price.

Compliance ceiling

What buyers in Saudi Arabia expect.

  • SASO Technical Regulation for Textile Products (2019) — registered on the SABER platform under the SALEEM product-safety programme
  • Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) plus a per-consignment Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC) from a SASO-approved body
  • Mandatory Arabic (or Arabic + English) labelling — fibre composition, care, country of origin
  • GSO (GCC Standardization Organization) standards as a GCC member state
  • Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — voluntary buyer-side standard, expected by hotel-group procurement

Buyer profile

5★ and luxury hotel-group procurement, OS&E buyers, hospitality fit-out and giga-project contractors, retail and home-textile buying offices, serviced-apartment and spa supply chains.

Note · No textile consignment clears Saudi customs without a SABER Shipment Certificate of Conformity and compliant Arabic labelling — both are produced inside our pre-shipment documentation pack so goods are not held at the port of entry.
